Since it sounds like it's easier to just import existing models from another game into GTA, are there some tutorials around on how to do that? My google-fu has been pretty weak so far. Download the General vehicle textures pack and extract it. Just a friendly warning, it takes many hours to even learn how to use the programs, and many more to actually produce quality content that can be used in the game. Before following this tutorial make sure you have the latest version of ZModeler properly registered. It'll give you an idea how to use the various programs, from setting up blueprints, to modeling, to UVW unwrapping, and creating the textures. If you're really interested in learning how to 3d model your own models search Google/Youtube for "weapon game asset workflow" or something similar. You could even modify the firearm to meet the exact model you're looking for. Keep in mind many firearms have already been made for existing games, and can be extracted (along with the textures) and converted to GTA V (much easier then learning how to model and make your own textures for the model). I personally use Adobe Photoshop, but I've seen more advanced programs on Youtube such as Substance Painter. BUT you really need a texture program as well.
