I have to say, I did take breaks from time to time as I was almost close to raging and throwing my controller, but that is exactly the kind of gameplay experience that I like when something gives you difficulty, you find ways to finish or do the job. Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight explores a cursed land in decline. It just got the right blend of fun and difficulty. Yes, the game is kind of hard but it is not too hard that it removes the fun aspect of the game. I did mention “limited yet rewarding gameplay”, right? So, what do I mean by that? What I mean is that the game has difficulty, even just at normal mode, with the addition of the limited controls making it a hard game. The visuals and 2D platforming scream ’80s NES, but the detail that went into the pixel art and the attack combos mixed. Reverie Under the Moonlight is the fourth entry in the Momodora seriesa side-scrolling action platformer with melee combos, dodge mechanics, and a plethora of items and spells to unleash upon. You also get abilities mid-game that will help you progress throughout the game! Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight is the ideal mix of old and new. There is the button for ranged attack, melee attack, roll, and jump. However, what made it different from other action-platformer titles is its limited yet rewarding gameplay. ![]()
